What character do most people favor the most that Roddy McDowall played in the saga.
Would it be Cornelius, Galen, or Caesar. |

That's a tough one. MacDowall had said that Caesar was his favorite because he wasn't a staid character, as Cornelius was - he goes thru a whole character arc, from frightened youth, to self appointed leader, which is just as appealing as taylors characetr arc from cynical misanthrope, to human spokesperson, and then to defeated almost Greek tragedy figure. I think for a long time, Caesar was my favorite character. But I think Cornelius has to be my favorite, just as far as charm.

Cornelius and Galen are like the same character as I see it. And one sees Galen a lot more in the TV series so thats one reason to like Galen while he is the least popular character McDowall played.
I did like Caesar though in Conquest of the Planet of the Apes a lot though. Probably like that character best because of the movie. |
