Hey everyone,

New guy here, I have been hunting around the internet for all kinds of dealers in movie/tv props and have found a few good sites but it really would not hurt to add a few more to the list.
So my question is, where abouts does every one go to get their props? I have so far found propstore.com and screenused.com to be very good sites but I would be more satisfied with more sources.
any help would be appreciated,
thanks

Thats a good question.

I have listed some dealer sites at http://movieprop.com/propdealers.htm
And there always is ebay and the Profiles in History auction among others.

great, thanks for that list, I will make great use of it.
I have already tried eBay, but honestly, there really is some shady characters there. I am particularly interested in Back to the Future props, and eBay seems to have a plethora of replica ones some of which are supposedly original and are not, or others are replica's but are not listed as such, going through actual dealers seems to be a much safer idea.
Thanks for the help, any other contributions would be appreciated as well.

As far as ebay sellers I think premiereprops, its a wrap, and reel clothes are good ebay sellers also.
There are a lot of questionable auctions for items no one could possible verify or remember being used in a movie 30 years ago; like someone tags and keeps track of ordinary pots and pans so long.

I'd add Rainmakers/Hollywood Vault to that list, too.

Lately, Hollywood Vault has been more reliable than Premiere Props. The last 3 orders from Premiere have had substituted or deleted items. When the price doesn't seem to match what they expect for an item at auction, there have been what Premiere Props calls "inventory glitches". (Translation: we're refunding your money because we know we can sell this for more than the auction price.)

Reel Clothes is always accurate as well. As a result, their items always sell for a solid price.
